Position:

The Director, Digital Marketing & Media is responsible for deploying Fendi’s global brand vision to the Americas market. This position reports directly into the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, and functionally into the WW Digital Director and the WW Advertising, Image, Heritage and Editions Director. The role supports Fendi’s business in the US, Canada, Mexico & Brazil through 360 marketing strategies, paid media, localized content development and retail/wholesale marketing.

Job Responsibilities

360 Marketing Strategies

  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that retains existing clients and attracts new customers to Fendi
  • Integrate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion into marketing strategies and tactical operations (i.e., vendors, platforms, media partners, talent, etc.)
  • Within Marketing, lead innovation ideation, vendor sourcing, and project management (i.e.AR/VR, Data & Measurement, New platforms & Social Media expansion), surfacing to Senior management and Zone President on an on-going basis
  • Hold regular meetings with zone leads of Omni, Merch & Retail to review pipeline, resolve challenges and present possible solutions, and to provide ongoing support for key initiatives
  • Liaise with HQ Digital/E-commerce and Print/Outdoor Advertising Department Leads on local strategies, requests & calendar
  • Collaborate frequently with Communications to ensure lockstep, complementary efforts and negotiations in partnership with a publisher or 3rd party

Paid Media

  • Oversee the development of all Digital & Traditional Brand media strategies. Digital Brand Marketing & Outdoor
  • Work closely with internal and external partners and agencies to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on brand growth, acquisition, and retention
  • Spearhead the strategic execution of Brand marketing campaigns, managing marketing objectives, goals and KPI setting

Localized Content Development

  • Direct content development strategy, identifying and evaluating vendors, and overseeing project management
  • Review and approve all content proposals prior to being shared with HQ for marketing channels, including paid media & organic social media
  • Oversee the development of marketing plans that support local initiatives on a consistent basis, including on Fendi’s global channels when possible

 

 

 

Retail/Wholesale

  • Develop Retail Marketing strategy to support all within the Fendi retail network, including new and renovated stores
  • Hold regular sessions with Store Managers and Retail Leaders to provide opportunity for in-market feedback
  • Work with key stakeholders at Malls and Department Stores

Reporting & Analytics

  • Ensure continual optimization of all marketing channels
  • Present to senior management topline performance insights & recommendations

Resource Management

  • Oversee the management of external resources, including media partners and agencies
  • Manage 1 in-house direct report

Finance / Admin / Misc.

  • Own paid media budget, Revisions and B24 planning, accountable for finding cost efficiencies to improve company profitability
  • Attend group seminars & Industry conferences to stay informed on the media, marketing & e-commerce landscape, trends & innovations
  • Review industry data, analysis, and competitor’s activities
  • Liaise with counterparts within LVMH Media and sister brands

Additional information:

  • 10 years of experience in Digital & Traditional Brand marketing (agency and in-house)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Successful track record in senior marketing roles and creating marketing campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt large quantities of data to actionable insights
  • Highly organized, proactive, and resourceful with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Time & resource management; experience working with both internal & external teams
  • Strategic knowledge of luxury fashion landscape, brand building & identity
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point
