Position:

The Director, Talent Development is based in the New York City Office.  This individual manages and coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that development and quality improvement programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. This position will also support full life cycle recruitment in sourcing the best talent, as well as maintaining effective programs for retention, promotion and succession planning.  Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director, Talent Development leverages an understanding of the needs of the FENDI Americas employees across Retail & Corporate to elevate the skills and competencies while retaining and engaging employees throughout the organization. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES: 

•    Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process.
•    Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).
•    Participate in organizational strategic planning and identifies annual training needs analysis meetings for Retail & Corporate populations
•    Research and assist in the development of training programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns.
•    Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction. 
•    Develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning.
•    Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including current job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
•    Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
•    Ensure that organization-wide talent management and development initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
•    Support talent acquisition by recruiting full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual and intern personnel. Manage full life cycle recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.). 
•    Leads succession planning activities within the Americas Zone; participate in the annual Organizational Management Review; input data into the Talent Management System; report KPI’s to Home Office in Rome as needed
•    Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
•    Coach and mentor employees on their career management; conduct annual Career Meetings; share details and feedback with Human Resources and make recommendations for Individual Development Plans for top talents 
•    Manager Internal Communication for local announcements and promotions
•    Create engaging program advertisement and enrollment processes for local trainings
•    Lead onboarding for corporate new hires, including IT requests, Office seating, onboarding meetings, and FENDI Induction Trainings
•    Manage FENDI Americas Intern Program; develop programmatic elements to ensure a robust, inclusive and educational experience for FNEDI Americas Early Career Professionals: develops relationships with talents to grow talent pipeline
•    Manage and track the Training & Development OPEX Budget

Additional information:

•    10+ years of Human Resources generalist experience with 5 years of exposure to Talent Development or Training, preferably in a luxury retail environment
•    Strong organizational skills, high level of efficiency, and ability to manage operations with precision and consistent follow through
•    Exceptional discretion, judgment and critical thinking
•    Effective HR administration and people management skills.
•    Strong client-service orientation and relationship-building skills
•    Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
•    Ability to work well under pressure and meets deadlines
•    25% travel required
•    Ability to lift boxes / weight up to 10lbs
•    Foreign language skill a plus
